I read over this passage when I was having my quiet time this morning. Kids are still in bed, Jon's off to work, it's just me, my Bible, and a cup of coffee. It's such a great group of verses I wanted to share them with you as you head off into the weekend. They remind us of who He is, that we have a purpose and a precise place, and of how He wants a relationship with each of us.
Acts 17:24-28 "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.
From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each of us. 'For in Him we live and move and have our being.'"
The great God of heaven and earth created you for this exact place, for this precise moment. He is reaching out to you, longing for a relationship. He is not far.
I pray that you do know Him. That you seek Him.
Acts 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved."
Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you,'' declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you..."
